Official Irvine Unified School District calendar for 2012-13 has been posted online

For those who like to plan ahead, IUSD has posted its official calendar for the 2012-13 academic year.

Here are a few highlights that we noted: Sept. 5 is scheduled to be the first day of the 2012-13 school year for all students on the traditional calendar, while year-rounders will start on July 24. The last school day before the winter recess is Dec. 21. Though the number of instructional days remains the same, IUSD students and staff will take the entire week of Thanksgiving off. The 2013 edition of spring break starts April 1 for students on the traditional calendar, or March 25 for those who attend Irvine’s four year-round schools. June 20, 2013 marks the last day of the school year for all IUSD students.
