Coinciding with the opening of a new health club, the Irvine Public Schools Foundation is encouraging the public to attend its latest “iShop” event from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11 at the Crossroads shopping center in Irvine. Customers who spend $75 or more during that window are encouraged to present their receipts near the center’s courtyard for a complimentary gift bag and a $5 gift card. Crossroads will then make a $10 donation on behalf of each customer to IPSF, which supports schools in IUSD. Meanwhile, the day is set to kick off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Irvine's new LA Fitness, with IUSD Board of Education President Mike Parham, Mayor Sukhee Kang and Councilmember Steven Choi scheduled to attend.
