Want to get rid of some old electronics and help an Irvine school at the same time? Lakeside Middle School plans to hold its first ever electronics “Recycle Fest” fundraiser from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Jan. 14. All you have to do is bring in your old computers, monitors, televisions, cell phones, DVD players, printers, game consoles and, well, pretty much anything that plugs in or turns on. The school will hand these items over to a company that pays for recycled electronics, and the proceeds will be used to purchase new technology and library books at Lakeside. The event is set to take place in the parking lot at Lakeside, which is located at 3 Lemongrass in Irvine.
