Earlier this week, students from Rancho San Joaquin Middle School’s introductory Chinese class led a campus-wide celebration of the Chinese New Year.

After researching the holiday, students made special displays to usher in the Year of the Dragon, while parents assisted with food and decorations for the Jan. 23 event. This is the second year that Rancho has offered its Chinese language course, which has almost doubled in enrollment, according to teacher Joy Chao.
