Well, it’s the first Tuesday of November in an even-numbered year, and that can only mean one thing: it's time to head to the polls.
As we mentioned a few weeks back, the Irvine Unified School District is working with corporate partners to install solar panels at a number of sites, and some are nearing completion.
Since opening three years ago, Woodbury Elementary School has earned praise for its modern, student-centered design. But its multipurpose room was just downright spooky on the Friday before Halloween after it was converted into a maze of ghouls, witches and all things creepy.
Here’s a little Halloween trivia for you: Did you know that pumpkins are the fruit of the pumpkin plant, which grow from flowers after being pollinated by ants and other insects?

Vehicle shade structures outfitted with energy-generating solar panels are quickly taking shape in the parking lot behind IUSD’s District Office, and rooftop solar panels may be coming soon to a school near you.
