The Irvine Unified School District (IUSD) is proud to announce that Dr. Angela Weedn, a School Psychologist for IUSD, has been awarded the prestigious Nadine Lambert Outstanding School Psychologist Award. This award is presented to only one school psychologist in the entire state of California each year. 

 

The Nadine Lambert Outstanding School Psychologist Award–named after Dr. Nadine Lambert, a trailblazing figure in the field who made lasting contributions to school psychology–is presented to school psychologists who contribute exemplary service in the following areas:

  • Service to Students
  • Service to Teachers
  • Service to Administrative
  • Service to Parents
  • Service to Community Agencies
  • Service to the Profession

Dr. Weedn, a University of Southern California graduate, has been a dedicated school psychologist with IUSD for over a decade. Her career in school psychology began after four years as an elementary school teacher, inspiring her to earn a doctorate in educational psychology. With nearly 20 years of experience, she is also a diplomate with the American Board of School Neuropsychology. Dr. Weedn has extensive expertise in dyslexia and has led trainings on using the strengths and weaknesses model for identifying specific learning disabilities. Today, she primarily focuses on supporting students with significant needs.
