Thirty-four IUSD students were invited to present their water-related Science Fair projects at a special showcase hosted by the Irvine Ranch Water District (IRWD) on April 14, prior to the IRWD Board Meeting.
The projects highlighted a wide range of innovative and thoughtful scientific exploration, with topics spanning from advancements in solar distillation techniques to the application of the Horton Infiltration Model. Each experiment reflected students’ curiosity and commitment to understanding water science and sustainability.
During the board meeting, the young scientists were honored with medals and special mementos from IRWD in recognition of their outstanding work.
IRWD Water Quality staff, who have long supported IUSD’s Annual Science Fair as judges and mentors, continue to play a role in encouraging scientific inquiry among students. Their participation in events like Ask-a-Scientist Night has offered invaluable guidance and inspiration to our young researchers.
Congratulations to all the students who participated in the showcase and thank you to IRWD for hosting our students!
