Nearly 200 IUSD students, from elementary through high school, earned spots in the prestigious Southern California School Band and Orchestra Association (SCSBOA) Honor Groups.
IUSD's outstanding educators and administrators were honored for their commitment, innovation, and excellence in fostering artistic growth and development among students.

After a long school year, children can certainly benefit from rest and relaxation. Equally important is maintaining social connections and engaging in enriching activities.

I would like to take a moment to express my gratitude to those of you who have already participated in this year's Annual Survey. Your input is invaluable, and it helps us make informed decisions that directly impact the experience of our students, families, and staff.

As we head into a busy second half of the school year, IUSD’s Counseling and Mental Health and Wellness teams have provided the following tips for families designed to support students.
One meaningful way to engage with your child’s school and our district is by participating in the Annual Survey, which closes on Monday, February 10.
Each elementary school will hold an informational meeting for parents about the district’s early learning programs. For times and locations, visit your neighborhood elementary school’s website.
During the Information Night, families will have the opportunity to learn more about the program and meet the teachers and current families.
IUSD offers a wide range of workshops and presentations for IUSD families. This month's workshops include Student Stress Management Office Hours, Active Parenting School-Aged Children Series and more!

In addition to announcing the 2024-25 Teachers of the Year, IUSD announced four Teachers of Promise. This annual honor goes to first- or second-year instructors who go above and beyond while demonstrating professional curiosity and an unbridled enthusiasm for teaching.
