The Irvine Unified School District Board of Education is asking for your help in selecting the next superintendent.
Anonymous Online Survey
To ensure this is a collaborative and inclusive process, the Board is providing an anonymous online survey and encourages your participation. This is an opportunity to receive input from students, staff, parents, and the community.
This survey is open from: February 24 – March 7, 2025
Open Community Input Session
Additionally, there will be an in-person Community Input Session opportunity on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, with consultants from Leadership Associates to provide an additional input opportunity regarding the desired personal and professional qualities anticipated in the incoming superintendent.
Date: Wednesday, February 26, 2025
Time: 6:00pm-7:00pm
Location: IUSD District Office Board Room
Address: 5050 Barranca Parkway, Irvine, CA 92604
During the session, consultants will share an overview of the process, and then ask two primary questions:
- What are the desirable qualities, characteristics, background and professional and personal experiences for the next superintendent?
- What do you see as the strengths of the district and the major challenges facing the district in years ahead?
Anyone interested in providing input but not available to attend the Open Community Input Session still has an opportunity to provide feedback and responses to these same questions via the anonymous online survey.
Next Steps In the Superintendent Search Process
Comments provided during the Input Session and the anonymous survey will be used in the development of the superintendent candidate profile, recruitment process, and reference checking. The consultants will also compile a summary of all comments received and share the report with the Board and with the new superintendent once selected.
