IUSD would like to thank our community for participating in the 50th Anniversary Photo Contest. With more than 200 photo submissions, there was a broad range of outstanding photos that creatively captured the many wonderful and different aspects of our District.  

June is Internet Safety Month, which is an opportunity to provide resources for and to remind our IUSD community about the importance of digital citizenship and safety online.

During the June 7, 2022 IUSD Board of Education Meeting, the District hosted a School Safety Presentation to share information about IUSD’s comprehensive approach to safety and emergency preparedness.  The video and presentation are now available.  

Foundational to IUSD’s Continuous Improvement Efforts and the District’s core mission is the belief that we must see learning through the eyes of our students and shape instruction to meet their needs. IVA is uniquely positioned to meet the needs of students, who benefit from a non-traditional classroom environment. 

Superintendent Walker's end of the year letter shares messages of gratitude for the IUSD community, resources that may be helpful for students and families over the summer months, and the District's commitment to partnership and collaboration.

IUSD would like to share important water, sun, and bike safety reminders for families to keep in mind not only during summer break, but also throughout the rest of the year.

Ken Kafton is the only employee who has been with IUSD for the entirety of its history, witnessing its growth and evolution.  In this article, Ken shares his story and some of the District's history starting in the early 1970s, before IUSD was even its own school district. 

The Children’s Hospital of Orange County has received a $2 million gift from the Tsao Family Foundation to work in collaboration with the Orange County Department of Education to establish 17 WellSpaces on IUSD secondary school campuses over the next four years.

During the June 7 IUSD Board of Education Meeting, the District will host a school safety presentation to share information with the community about IUSD’s multi-layered approach to campus safety. IPD will also be on hand to provide information about their preparedness efforts.
