IUSD’s summer school program for grades 9-12 will begin June 11 and run through July 23. An onsite program will be offered at Irvine High School and a blended learning program will be offered at San Joaquin High School (Creekside Education Center).
IUSD started the month off right on Monday, March 2, 2020 by focusing on literacy and reading for Read Across America Day. To celebrate this day, each year several District schools invite special guests to read their favorite children’s books to elementary students.
IUSD is hosting our annual College and Career Fair at Portola High School in the gym on March 16 from 6-8 p.m. During this free event, IUSD students and families will have the opportunity to meet with more than 40 college and university representatives to explore a variety of career pathways.

Three IUSD students have been named among the top 300 scholars in the 79th Regeneron Science Talent Search, the nation’s oldest and most prestigious science and math competition for high school seniors.
For the third year in a row, University High School earned first place at the Science Bowl Regionals and will go on to represent IUSD at the national competition this April in Washington, D.C.
