Sierra Vista Middle School’s Science Olympiad team earned the title of Southern California Science Olympiad Champions. In the High School Division, Northwood placed second and Univeristy placed third.
For the 13th consecutive year, IUSD has received the Best Communities for Music Education designation from The NAMM Foundation.
Woodbridge secured fourth place with 43,068.5 points and University secured tenth place with 40,570.9 points.
Nearly 40 IUSD students have clinched top honors at the Orange County Science and Engineering Fair (OCSEF) and are moving on to the State competition in April.
More than 50 IUSD students were nominated for the OC Register’s Artist of the Year Awards, spanning over seven categories.
In addition to Pelton's prestigious award, Sinuo Pan and teacher Karen Briner from Woodbridge were also recognized as an art category finalist at the event.
IUSD announced its five 2024 Classified Employees of the Year – Luis Acuna Alvarado, Edgar Estrada, Kanchana Karthikeyan, Mimi Marrocco and Andres Roman.
Out of 72 finalist projects, 48 IUSD elementary, middle and high school projects won top honors at the recent National History Day-Orange County.
Irvine High School's three teams, totaling 15 students, secured spots in the National Finals of the Air & Space Force Association’s StellarXplorers Space STEM program.
