Now in its 33rd year, IUSD’s Teacher of the Year program recognizes exceptional instructors at the elementary, middle and high school levels.
IUSD announced four Teachers of Promise, which goes to first- or second-year instructors, who go above and beyond, while demonstrating professional curiosity and an unbridled enthusiasm for teaching. 
 The Woodbridge High Academic Decathlon team's three-peat at the county competition makes them a force to contend with at the state tournament this March.   
On February 11, while students had a day off, more than 2,000 teachers, administrators and staff had a day on and attended IUSD’s Professional Learning Summit focused on teaching and learning.
More than 200 IUSD students showcased their innovative inventions at the 32nd Annual Astounding Inventions™ competition at Irvine Valley College.  Congratulations to all of our student inventors!
More than 450 IUSD students in grades 6-12 participated in the District’s 38th annual Science Fair, showcasing an impressive array of 275 biological, physical and engineering projects.  
For the second straight year, University High School took top honors at the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Science Bowl and will advance to the national competition in Washington, D.C.
