March 13 marked one year since IUSD, along with school districts throughout the state and nation, closed schools to in-person instruction due to the COVID-19 pandemic. USD’s Nutrition Services we will be closed Monday, March 29 through Friday, April 2 for Spring Break. However, families can pick-up six days of free breakfasts and lunches for their student(s) on Friday, March 26 from 7-8:45 a.m. at the Creekside Education Center.
On March 20, the California Department of Public Health amended the state's guidance for classroom spacing to 3 feet from the recommended 6 feet. The updated guidelines will not change existing academic models for the remainder of the 2020-21 school year but is positive news for IUSD’s 2021-22 planning.
