Dear IUSD Community,
As the 2022-23 school year comes to a close, the Irvine Unified School District Board of Education and our District leadership would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for the ongoing partnership and support of our students, staff, families and community. Together, this collective “US” is at the center of IUSD and makes it possible for our district to deliver on our promise to provide the highest quality educational experience we can envision.
Throughout this year and especially over the last few weeks, we have had the honor of spending time with many of our students and their families to celebrate wonderful accomplishments and important milestones. We never cease to be amazed by our talented students, who not only shine academically but also on their campuses and in our community. We hope that you and your family have or will take a moment to reflect on this school year and find moments of joy and pride.
As our more than 36,000 students continue on their journey, we encourage them to maintain a sense of hopeful confidence as they learn, adapt and persevere on the road ahead. The future is bright for our students and we will continue to work together so they may reach their full potential.
While IUSD staff will also enjoy some time off, we will be working throughout the summer to prepare for the next school year. Staff will share helpful information and resources on our website, so please visit iusd.org and our Instagram, Facebook and Twitter sites to stay connected to IUSD this summer. We wish you, your families and loved ones a rejuvenating, joyful and safe summer.
Sincerely,
Terry L. Walker
