IUSD offers a wide range of workshops and presentations through the Irvine Parent Education Program (IPEP) to provide support and assistance for the families of IUSD students throughout the school year. The goal of these workshops and presentations is to empower parents and guardians with the skills and strategies necessary to become active participants in their student's education.
This month, the IPEP workshops include:
- IUSD Financial Aid Night: This workshop will provide students and families with the information needed to make informed decisions about financial aid for college.
- Partnering with Schools: Strategies for Parents to Address Hate Motivated Behavior: Parents and Guardians will review IUSD's policies related to hate-motivated behavior on campus, hear how incidents are handled at school and learn relevant strategies for discussing this topic with their own children.
- Special Education Coffee and Connections: These workshops will provide families with valuable information on items such as IHSS, Social Security Disability Benefits, the statewide Self-Determination Program and more.
Experienced instructors and district-level representatives lead each workshop, providing participants with thoughtful and up-to-date information.
