Each year, our District asks for feedback regarding IUSD’s Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) from our key stakeholders – students, staff, families and the community – usually as part of a survey. However, this year, Student Support Services has developed an interactive activity, using a platform called ThoughtExchange, to provide our stakeholders the opportunity to not only provide their perspectives but to also view and rank the thoughts and perspectives from the IUSD community.
Your Feedback Makes a Difference for our Students
This confidential interactive LCAP process is designed to help IUSD take action on identified goals and priorities, and measure progress on student academic achievement, school climate and parent engagement. Your input is critical to IUSD’s decision-making process and will help guide investments in the District’s priorities.
The LCAP activity is open through March 11.
District LCAP Goals and 2022-23 Action Items
Please take a moment to review the District’s LCAP action items for the 2022-23 school year prior to participating in the ThoughtExchange activity. Please note that this activity addresses one-time investments and does not reflect action items that are already fully funded in the LCAP.
Some of the one-time/split funded activity areas include summer school, Elementary Resource Counselors, graduation support, Career Technical Education, online tutoring and more.
Below are IUSD’s identified LCAP goals:
- LCAP Goal 1: Create a positive school climate and system of supports for student personal and academic growth.
- LCAP Goal 2: Ensure all students attain proficiency in state standards and local assessments through access to rigorous and relevant learning tools, resources and skills for all staff and students.
- LCAP Goal 3: Address barriers limiting student participation in programs and provide equity in allocation of resources.
