The Irvine Parent Education Program is excited to bring our families the list of October workshops and community meetings. IPEP's goal is to empower parents/guardians with the skills and strategies necessary to become active participants in their student’s education.  
This week’s Mindful Monday is focused on maintaining balance. Jeffrey Trail Middle School Counselors Julianne Jong and Michelle Trapp, along with JTMS students, share tips for managing busy school schedules.

State health officials are warning the public about brightly colored “rainbow fentanyl,” which comes in a variety of forms and can resemble candy, sidewalk chalk and powders that may look attractive to children and teens.
Mindful Mondays is a new weekly video series led by IUSD administrators, teachers and staff to help students cultivate the attitudes, skills and knowledge to become resilient and resourceful learners. This week's video, focused on supporting resilient students, is now live.  
Woodbridge joins a select few schools nationwide as a 2022 National Blue Ribbon School and is the only OC school to receive this designation.   
On Thursday, September 22 from 3:30-5 p.m. the District will host a grand opening for the IUSD Parent Center, which is an opportunity to meet staff, including our Community Liaisons, and to tour the facility. 
The National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) announced that more than 200 Orange County students have been named semifinalists, 88 of which are IUSD students. 
September is Suicide Prevention Month — a time to raise awareness.  Our goal is to help ensure the IUSD community has access to information and resources for discussing suicide prevention, knowing the signs and how to seek help.
